Tertial Velocity

Yo, as the saying goes, time flies.

It really does fly. It's as if it had rocket boosters or some shit.

It's already May!

I was just contemplating on writing a first quarter check in, and it's already MAY???!

Dude. I had to look up what 1/3rd of a year is called, it's not a quarter, it's not a trimester, it's just a third. I looked it up and got more confused because a trimester is 3 months, and a quarter is 3 months, but a third is 4 months.

ANYWAYS, let's go over some of the todos that I can actually check off.

Plan a family trip to Japan in April or May, including cramming Japanese before the trip.

  • We ended up going to Perth instead. Peak season is just too expensive to do. It'd also be too crowded.

Invest in dining chairs!

  • We bought dining chairs! Ahahaha, like finally.

Establish a consistent exercise routine, do meal prep, and focus on weight loss.

  • I went to the gym like twice since then, and my weight is still the same.

Sign him up for primary school and support his transition.

  • Done, waiting for the results.

Finish the life-sim game I started and explore new projects for fun.

  • I am still working on it.
  • As for the new projects, I've launched a carspotting website, it probably deserves its own post.

Read more books.

  • I paused "The Creative Act" and started "Dao De Jing", am currently around chapter 50/81.
  • Very far behind on this one, hoping to pick up the pace.

Write here more.

  • Well, here I am.
  • There was also one more post before this one, so... Haha. Not complaining.

Purchase our first landed property.

  • Working on it. Not as seriously as I should be though. Still have some doubts and not super convinced on how important it is.

Professional clarity.

  • I think I'm good with this one, I really just need to get my health in order. That should be the main priority.

Here's to a good rest of the year! I should probably write about the carspotting website soon. Or maybe I'll finally be able to finish the game I'm working on... And perhaps the next post will be about that! Here's hoping. ✨
